Make It Easier to Say Yes

“What time works for you?”
“I have Tuesday at one.”
“Is that Central or Eastern?”
“Central.”
“Let me check my calendar.”
Have you ever spent more time scheduling a conversation than actually having it?
There’s a side hustle in making that easier.
I’m Angie Norris, and this is Side Hustle GPS.
Today, we’re stopping in Tech Junction to explore Booking-Page Setup.
In one of my coaching programs, people could book a block of time with me and pay a small fee. My mastermind members had a different arrangement, but everyone needed an easy way to find time on my calendar.
And I needed a system that respected the rest of my life.
I connected my calendar so appointments could work around family events and other commitments.
I added buffers between meetings so I could prepare, take a breath, or move from one conversation to the next.
I also limited how many calls I would take each day.
Because just because there’s an empty space on my calendar doesn’t mean I need to fill every minute.
That setup made things easier for me and for the person booking.
Over the years, I’ve used tools including Book Like a Boss, Acuity, and HighLevel.
Being able to share one link was such a relief.
People could look at the available times and choose what worked for them, without all that back-and-forth.
And plenty of businesses need that same help.
A consultant might need discovery calls. A tutor might need lesson bookings. A service provider might need appointments.
They may know exactly how to serve their customers but have no interest in figuring out the technology.
You can offer to set it up for them.
Start by understanding how they actually work.
How long should an appointment last? Which days are available? Do they need preparation time between bookings? Is payment required? Where will the appointment happen?
Then choose and configure a tool that supports those needs.
Depending on the platform and plan, you can connect calendars, arrange confirmations and reminders, include meeting links, or collect information before the appointment.
That last piece was especially helpful for me.
I asked some of my mastermind members to complete questions before our calls.
That way, I could arrive knowing what they wanted help with. We could spend our time working on the issue instead of spending the first ten minutes figuring out why we were there.
That’s a small kindness to both people.
AI can help you draft the appointment description, preparation questions, confirmation messages, and reminders.
Give it the business’s actual process so the instructions fit the experience.
Then test everything.
Make a sample booking. Check the time zone. Confirm that busy times are blocked and the right messages arrive. Try rescheduling, too.
A simple setup can be quick once you have the information, but leave time to make sure it works.
You can charge for the setup, teach the owner how to manage it, and offer future updates separately.
Some software also offers affiliate programs. If you recommend one through an affiliate link, explain that you may earn a commission and choose based on what fits the customer.
Your first money move?
Find one person who still schedules appointments through a string of messages.
Offer a clearly priced package for one appointment type, a connected calendar, and a tested booking experience.
So, who could you help spend less time arranging appointments and more time serving people?
