Find Reasons to Celebrate

“You cat to be kitten me right meow.”
Yes, I’ve put that saying on cupcake toppers.
And yes, they turned out awesome.
I’m Angie Norris, and this is Side Hustle GPS.
Today, we’re stopping in Pet Parkway to explore Pet Birthday Packages.
My best friend loves cats. And when we’ve thrown parties and celebrations, I’ve created the banners, invitations, and all those fun little extras.
For one celebration, I designed about 12 different cat-themed cupcake toppers with funny sayings.
I printed them on cardstock, laminated them, cut them into circles, and attached a toothpick to each one.
We had 36 cupcakes, and those toppers made the whole display look so professional.
Everyone loved them.
That’s what I enjoy about creating celebrations. A few thoughtful details can bring a theme to life.
And you can use that creativity to help someone celebrate their pet.
Personalized invitations. A banner with the pet’s name. Photo props. A coordinated set of decorations.
You can bring those pieces together into a birthday package.
I have a photograph of my son standing beside a white horse dressed like a unicorn.
There was a horn, rainbow ribbons braided into its mane, a big decorative wreath around its neck, and rainbow colors in its tail.
When I look at that picture, it just screams fun.
It reminds me how much a creative setting can add to a celebration.
You can bring that same playful spirit to the decorations around a pet, while keeping the animal comfortable.
The photo station can do plenty of the work!
For my daughter’s birthday this year, I used an old photo backdrop setup I’d bought years ago.
I decorated it, and the kids stood in front of it to take pictures.
Now imagine a pet-themed version.
A backdrop, a personalized sign, and some fun props for the owners to hold while they pose with their pet.
You could create something people set up themselves, or offer to come and arrange it for them.
AI can help you brainstorm themes, write playful invitation wording, and develop matching designs.
Then you review the details, prepare the files, and turn them into a coordinated package.
Think about the person you’re creating it for.
Do they want something funny? Colorful? Simple and sweet?
Make it feel like their pet and their style.
Keep paper decorations and toothpicks out of pets’ reach, and let the owner guide what their animal enjoys. A happy pet makes a better celebration than one being pushed to participate.
There are other meaningful occasions you could support, too, including a remembrance gathering for a pet someone has lost.
But start with one clear offer.
Your first money move?
Create a sample birthday package with an invitation, a personalized banner, and a photo-station sign.
Photograph it together so people can picture the celebration.
Then offer a digital version they can print, or a finished package you make and deliver. Be clear about what’s included and whether setup costs extra.
So, what would you create for the pet lover in your life?

Sometimes, a funny saying, a personalized banner, and a little creativity become the details people remember.
